How to Delete Instagram Account

 To permanently delete your Instagram account, follow these steps:

Steps to Delete Instagram Account

  • Open Instagram: From your profile, tap your profile picture in the bottom right.

  • Access Settings:

    • Tap the three lines (menu icon) in the top right.

    • Tap Accounts Center.

  • Navigate to Account Deletion:

    • Tap Personal Details.

    • Tap Account ownership and control.

    • Tap Deactivation or deletion.

  • Select Account:

    • Choose the account you want to delete (if you have multiple).

  • Choose Deletion:

    • Select Delete account (not deactivate, which is temporary).

  • Follow Prompts:

    • Enter your password when prompted.

    • Select a reason for leaving and tap Continue.

    • Confirm by tapping Delete account again.

Your account will be scheduled for deletion. You have 30 days to log back in and cancel the deletion if you change your mind. After 30 days, your account and information will be permanently removed, though it may take up to 90 days for all data to be fully erased from backups.
